Folks, the world of organ music awaits you. Forget those subliminal thoughts of cheesy thin drum beats or Phantom of the Opera...
There were organ celebrities, and still are really. Look around Youtube for a few days and follow your heart. My personal favorites are in the playlists I've compiled called, ' Organ Tunes even Organ Haters will love!' I, II, and now into III.
As a trained guitar player of 20 years I decided to play the organ 15 years ago. It was Hammond only, then Youtube happened!

If playing rock and roll is an occupational hazard then Rosa was proof that playing for the movies was not. A 100 year career!

Rosa Rio--- retired at age 106, died at 107. (See, retirement's bad for your health!) Seriously, RIP to a talented lady.

Is Rosa still with us at 107? The New Orleans Saenger is rumored to be getting a 35 million dollar renovation following the Katrina flood. Supposed to be open 2011. She will be 109, I wonder if she can play at the re-opening?

she is just a wonderful lady with music in her heart. Thank you, Rosa!

I see loopnhook's account is closed. Good riddance. Ms. Rio is a remarkable survivor and deserves every bit of credit and support. Other than talent for whining and complaining with useless critiques, I doubt "loopnhook" has 1/16 the talent of Ms. Rio.

My mistake, I know that actually, but for whatever reason I wrote Hammond, heh.
Well "loopnhook", I don't know what you mean by "dull". Rosa this year celebrated her 105th birthday and is still playing. I don't know when this was shot, but even if it was as long ago as five years, that means Rosa was 100 when she did this performance. So, I hope I can be as dull when I am 100. By the way, Rosa has played a few programs for our T.O. society in years past, and I can tell you that she is just the nicest person to work with.
