A test drive of a nice 1966 Corvette Convertible.

Black exterior (originally Rally Red), code correct Black vinyl interior, Black convertible top. NOM 350ci engine, 4 speed manual transmission. Want to stand apart from the C2 crowd? This is the car for you! This midyear convertible features a professionally widened body and a modified 350ci engine. Paint is nice driver quality with a good shine. This 1966 Corvette Restomod Convertible sits on 15 inch American Racing Torque Thurst D wheels with gray spokes and a polished lip. Tires are radials, showing about 30% tread life. Seats have been upgraded to early C3 style and are in very good shape, as are the door panels. Convertible top looks to be newer and is in good shape with a good window. Radio has been upgraded to a digital AM/FM unit, but retains its stock location with no dash cuts. Chrome bumpers are in very good shape, and the car wears a big block stinger hood. Modifications to this car include a Hurst shifter with a T-Handle knob, MSD electronic ignition, a Holley 4bbl carburetor, Edelbrock Victor Jr. intake, polished valve covers and air cleaner, and a more driver-friendly, smaller diameter steering wheel. This car is also equipped with power steering and power brakes. Great driver with some nice upgrades!

  • I prefer factory correct cars as well -- nonetheless, correct cars wouldn't be as special if there weren't restomods like this one to thin out their numbers. I agree with you on this one though, you don't turn a real red big block car into a black small block car.

  • I hate it when they customize these classics
