I had originally bought your plans on ebay but my laptop was stolen. I want to buy your dvd but I remeber I could not figure out how to make the rail blocks. Do you trace it out of a solid piece of wood and cut a 45 degree angle?

kiaora from Invercargill.. have been skteching on something very similar for a while now.. Hope you could answer a few questions bro:
1. what kind of cloth are you using to prevent sticking from the frame while "gluing" it together?
2. and what materials are you using? I have kind of been thinking about using pine, cause of it's weight, but is it too soft?
3. Finally what materials are you using for the deck?
I'll make sure to check out your website too, very inspiring method rock on bro

@swedishkiwi Kiaora swedishkiwi. There's plastic sheeting from the hardware shop laid underneath which prevents the frames and blocks from sticking to the bench. Also we use some on top to prevent the bricks sticking to the wood. The best wood is paulownia ( also known as Empress wood ) I supply it in kit form or as raw wood. Pine is not to soft in fact it's quite hard, it can also make a good board but is very heavy so has to be used carefully. I'm using paulownia/epoxy for the entire board

Hi from New Zealand we use 4:1 epoxy resin, the drying time for this rerin is 24 hours, other epoxy resins are faster, the panels are bent over a curved rocker table, they bend easily because of the way the wood grain is lying and the thinness of the panels. It's like making a sandwich
