In a recent blog post, the electronic music superstar cited "Peaks" creator David Lynch as "creative impetus" behind his new album, Wait for Me. (Lynch also directed the album's first video.) We ask Moby about the role his filmmaker friend played. And, he performs live.

@djandreal I think his voice is beautiful. Its a little flat in this recording, but no one could sing his music with the feeling he does.

@Imiface although i think u're absolutely right, i still believe it would have been better to let someone else sing this song, someone talented ("voice wise"), someone who does not sing out of tune and has got a wider extension! it should not be shameful for an artist to acknowledge his limits. he's so talented in so many ways, why would u want to spoil everything by thinking u're also good at singing when u're clearly not?!

@djandreal Well to tell the truth for me that part at 2:46 is telling me more about a broken heart than anything else. You don't have to be a proper singer to express your feelings. But that's just my opinion.

@DedinatorI17 hopefully dude! XD it's just my opinion ofc..u know,he used to let proper singers perform the vocal part of his songs..gotta admit it was waaay better!! u cant say he's a proper singer or gifted in that sense, can u? i mean 2:46 sounds like a raped sheep XD
