Pointless - Something to Look Up To

Pointless was the side project of a Tempe, Arizona band called Tone Set that formed about 1982. This track apparently mocks the followers of and radical right wing Christian ministers/televangelists. This video was produced by Greg Horn and Galen Herod about 1982 on location in Papago Park, Phoenix, Arizona and the surrounding area. The visual subject matter of this video is typical for Tone Set, with its fascination for mid-century (20th) culture. A detailed history of the band can be found at www.synthpunk.org.

Killer blast from the past! Local Tempe/Tri-City folks will recognize Papago Park/Hole-in-the-Rock...What a super-well-made video! I thought the Tone Set one was ultimate-cool; this one just blew my mind!
