Joe Bonamssa is the best blues/rock guitar player around. I went to one of his shows once, that was what made me want to play blues guitar.

He is an amazing guitarist. I think he must've studied a fair amount of SRV. Alot of that stuff is reminiscent to my ears. I love how he has his own tone as well. On SRV there are some live clips out there and I have never heard anyone get the incredible juicy and spitting strat tone that he gets. Robben Ford is another one with great technique and feel. Love em all.

@parklife101 Many times all of us see a player that play incredibly fast like Yngwie Malmsteen, Herman Li and many many others, but these players DON'T SAY ANYTHING in his music. Shredding all the time can be BORED!!!! That's the reason that many players must listen blues and jazz music to see for themselves that speed is JUST A TOOL. This video of Joe showing the importance of Dynamics in the phrasing is a right example of it.

This is such an amazing video. Every single guitar player should be forced to watch this video. Idiots. thinking playing fast is all that matters. Whenever I show someone my playing I show them how easy it is to play fast, super fast shread. Then show them dynamics and the true power of a single note.
