Kids played this game in the arcade over Street Fighter for a couple things. The most obvious is the blood. Unfortunately since gory games a dime a dozen these days, Mortal Kombat isn't as special anymore and has absolute zero appeal to newcomers such as myself. I just can't get into fighting games. I suck so much at Street Fighter that I always have to play as Chun Li and Mortal Kombat seems so clunky to me.
