He still has such a fantastic voice even at 60. When he sings the line "Waterloo Sunset's fine" I get goosebumps ;-)

Gives you pause when great performers like David Bowie and Peter Gabriel can't do it better than Ray Davies. They gave it a good shot though. The Kinks -- what a band, what a time, what a great collection of songs. They are almost -- untouchable in what they achieved. Their catalog is just as important as the Who, the Beatles, the Stones, the Doors. Just as important -- if not, in some ways -- more enduring and beloved to some.
