In a joint investigation with Fairfax, FOUR CORNERS exposes the real underbelly of organised crime in Australia -- it's multi-national, well-connected and rolling in cash.
Tune in tonight, to see Nick McKenzie's report - 8.30pm on ABC1. Or at www.abc.net.au/iview or www.abc.net.au/fourcorners from Tuesday 31 August 2010.
In the meantime, more details are in Nick's piece for ABC News Online and the Fairfax papers:

I didn't expect the issue to be as complex and international as it came to be. A very good co-production between ABC and Fairfax. Perth media have not dealt with the issues as explained, we really do need the eastern states' media to tell us what is going on in our state.
A mining tycoon owns our only newspaper, and he also owns the other major free-to-air. We are an example to the rest of Australia of the route not to take with media/mining magnates.
