Does anyone know if there's significance with that cloud by the castle type thing in the very last area there?
-
its not a shadow, its just that he was touching the green thing that makes you inmune

@Eombayt I think "Tim's obsession with finding the princess for nothing" undersells it. The game is actively arguing that trying to find something just because it's there to be discovered is not for nothing--it can actively be harmful. And then it uses gamers obsessive completionist tendencies to make you feel like you're finding all these things, even though the end result is the death of the Princess you claim to be trying to save. Just because you can find everything doesn't mean you should.

@kevinavram The whole undertone for Braid is obsession, and how it amounts to nothing. The developers placed the cloud there to reel in the obsessed, so that they could obsess over the significance of the the cloud, when really it is utterly insignificant.

I wonder if you can use this shadow to help you unlock more book combinations or something.
-
@kevinavram no ive waited there for hours nothing hapens
-
@queefton23 No, that's in the other level. This one is stationary.

I really hope that cloud has a purpose....

Yes, it moves to the left like a cm a minute or something, you have to stay active on it for hours, like 12g, i did it once and just baked all day, not really worth it

It's not a glitch, it's just another one of the game mechanics. Whenever Tim comes into contact with the bridge that is unaffected by time, everything he did before that point is "erased". You can't rewind to what he did beforehand because that would include touching the object that made him unaffected by time. That in itself would be contradictory.

he means the shadow
can you go more in depth as to how it can be repeated?

Go through the Epilogue as normal. When you get to the platform manipulate time however you want to ride it to the top. Once you're up there run off the edge and start rewinding fast once you hit the ground. The green glow should wear off after the platform goes back down and you'll rewind to the position I start in in the video. Continue rewinding as far as possible and you're where the video starts.
