I love Stewart Lee, and I'm an entomologist!
When I saw a clip of him mentioning this performance I thought he was joking!

@yngvaibucketrucci and the third time he referenced something that was specific to the audience, they realised the point of the joke and it recieved a fairly positive reaction.
So Robert the Bruce went back to youtube, attempted to parody the joke in the comments section of the video, failed to amuse anyone, and his attempt at humour slid slowly down through the pages as banal coments about seeing the comedian talk about pestival at another show received all the upvotes of the judgemental masses

this reminds me of the story of Robert the Bruce and the stand up comedian.
Robert the Bruce was hiding in a rocky outcrop, and he saw a standup comedian trying to make a deadpan joke in which the humour lies in his repeating the same thing over and over. He tried it once and the crowd didnt seem to understand, Robert the Bruce thought thats it, he'll give up on this routine now, but he tried again and still the crowd seemed unsure if he was going anywhere with it, but then he tried a third time

lol..thanks for uloading this - it all makes perfect sense now. Lee did a routine about the Pestival gig as part of his live stand-up tour and I always wondered if it was true...and here he is...live...at Pestival...lol.

Syncing easy to correct- just load the video up in 2 seperate windows and...you know...just use your head.

This Stand up actually reminds me of the story of "Robert de Bruce and the Three-pronged Bristletail". I don't know if you've heared it. After losing a fight to the English de Bruce ran away and hid in a cave. In the cave he spied a Three-pronged Bristletail. And it was trying to leap from one moist area to the next. After about the 4th time it susceeded. So robert de Bruce went out to fight the English again, but remembered the Three pronged Bristletail. And he ate all the English's paper.

@warriorprince1010 Tell me about it. Why won't these modern comedians leave the potato-peach aphid alone?!
if youre that bothered about the syncing, then just dont watch the video at the same time. Hes one of my favourite ever stand ups but it doesnt matter if youre not watching him! listenning is fine!

Disappointing production. Music/sound out of sync. Absolutely disgraceful.

@pmanngw Would you have seen it otherwise? No?! Then stop bitching.
YES, I KNOW THE SOUND IS OUT OF SYNC!
If you care so much, download it and fix it yourself.
