yeah, its actually quite insidious, really. There will be a lot of dummy accounts made by these people that will vote 5 stars and keep refreshing the page to increase the watch count to get to the front page of youtube. a lot of the featured videos you see on Youtube rarely get by on being genuinely good content, as of course you would have noticed just how awful these videos can be.
