this song praises a man by the name Abonyo Okombo. It was composed by Onyango Orego Orego and done by Victoria B band of Collella Mazee in early eighties. It praises the guy, his wives and extended family.

Realmente trata-se de Victoria Kings-C. Na altura eu tinha uns 12 anos em Mozambique, mas me lembro que dancei bastante estas musicas. Nao se deve confundir com Victoria Kings-C porque esta nao e a voz do Collela Mazee. Estes astistas deviam ser valirizados e as produtoras de Kenya ou RSA que eram os grandes distribuidoras de BENGA: Kung-fu, King-kong, Crocodilo, sungura, Ait, Lolwe, Cegonha, etc, devem imprimir copias e venderem.

Yes those were the days 70's this one was popular in Zimbabwe often played by Sam Sibanda on Rhodesia Broadcasting African Services, sad some of these guys died desperately poor yet they produced such great music. I was watching the burial video of another great Kanindo musician Dr. Collela Mazee it broke my heart seeing the poverty at his home, yet this was a great musician.

This sounds very much like the Victoria C Kings.... I just hated the fact that they did not play the instruments for a long time after the tune shifted gears as we called it in Zimbabwe... The late 70 and early 80... I wish I could go back....
