will young came out as soon as he won the show, and since then hes sold over 4million albums and 2million singles. aside from girls aloud hes by far the most successful act to come from a reality show (i don't count leona lewis or alexandra burke because they are still *very* early on and could always fade into obscurity).
the x factor is NOT a singing competition, its a star search (hence the name). and danyl wasn't in the closet to begin with AS IVE ALREADY SAID.

@manwithoutfriends Actually he did have a career, he won the most popular singing competition in Britain, and after he came out his popularity took a fall.
Also just because it's in the newspapers doesn't mean everyone has seen it, danii brought all these little whispers off screen and compounded and strengthen them for everyone to see, it was mean. A person should have their own choice as to when they should come out. And once again, Why was his sexuality commented on in a SINGING competition?

I know it was a joke and everything, but there was really no need to tell the world, on live television that he was gay/bi, that has nothing to do with the competition or his singing ability!

Who cares if he's gay, straight or bi. It wasn't a competition about his sexual preference but his ability to sing there by making her comment unnecessary and ignorant.

It's a time in a place for everything and having a joking back stage its personal but in public at contest its another it was meant to hurt him. No not against gay's but against him personal.
