http://greenmedianews.com Yesterday at COP15 the NGO's were shut out of the Bella Center after a protest which, quite frankly, was nothing more than a peaceful demonstration. While the COP15 conference is not a true democratic institution but more of a gathering of nations to negotiate, the conference organizers and security have the right to exclude anyone they wish. However, NGO's (non-governmental organizations) are there to support the voice of the people and for the most part only want to support the process itself. Because of the move to ban NGO's from the Bella Center and effectively eliminate their meaningful presence before Heads of State by severely restricting NGO attendance, and then ejecting them completely, Huff Post contributor Bill Becker who was interviewed on Green Media News just days ago, was unable to enter the Bella Center to PARTICIPATE IN A PANEL discussion to which he was invited and accredited to attend. And he wasn't the only one... not even close.
