  • T Y For the nice words

  • looks like batmobile.thank the engineers for all this fun america! new cars are trash, all plastic! i hate 'em! thanks for this video! wow!

  • All of Virgil Exners designs Have a somewhat

Fantastic element to them ,and most are a real work of art. I can't Think of a car today that can match the workmanship and pride that went into building these every day American drivers . Bring Back the pride, and Americans will be building cars forever .

  • It's AstraDome to be exact,it came on 1960 to 1962 Chrysler cars. We filmed and narrated this video pretty much on the fly so some mistakes are bound to be made with words. I still think this car is somewhat space aged so space dome is really just a play on words Thanks for viewing TP

  • These cars beg to be driven, but please take care of them, they are irreplacable. One of Virgil's best efforts.

  • SHOULDA , COULDA , I owned one in 1965 to 71...........

It was the best ride I ever had and I had plenty. Sold it For $150.00 Can. all I have left are 2 photos.

That ranks right up there with the dumdest things I ever did...... Seems I recall someone saying only 9 ever came to Canada, (She was red)

  • This car is definitely from an older era. Gas was 25 cents a gallon, for premium, and this car probobly cost $4000.00, holy cow! An era of power and excess.

  • Like my grandpap says - "get with it. A new car will eat that thing for lunch and still have room for desert"

  • I saw one at Dynomight Hank Donally's garage off route 173 east of Libertyville IL..Yours brought back the memory- Hank was a carismatic daredevil of a guy grounded with a savy for speed wisely achieved. I recall the inpression he gave me that he didn't have a rival machine in the area. I've driven Saratogas, I believe they were the standard 383 cubic inch wedges-miles could be covered with the urge to fly in them. Great dynamic machine very few people have a grasp of. Thanks

  • I got a '62 Newport convertible from my father when I had firt started driving. Those long cross rams run really well on a 440 Magnum. I also milled the heads , so i even had more fun !

  • 300s big n bad

  • A great example of American flamboyance and optimism from the 50's. The font & back bucket seats are waay cool, but my favorite part about this car is the superimposed spare tire on the trunk! Funny how today we hide the spare under the trunk but back in the day..it was part of the styling and this car truly has that 50's style. Great car..great video!

  • just think what would happen if this thing hit your average toyota/chev or whatever you drive

  • Mopar big blocks are the sweetest sounding engines you ever heard.

  • oooh this is heavenly.I`m a big fan of virgil exner`s work. One of the greatest automobile stylists of his time.
