  • fed really does??? maybe he's using a prostaff with a 90 sq head and 16x19 pattern coz when I see close up photos of him with his racquet it has a 16x19 string pattern the classic prostaff has 16x18.....I mean yeah maybe fed is using a different racquet

  • Federer uses a custom stick with a custom paint job. Most of the pros do this.

  • what does that mean.... is it like Fed is using a racquet "specifically" made for him not sold in the market then has a pj of a six one??

  • Type this into Google and you will understand "The Roger Federer Racquet Uncovered "

  • Lol look... federer has a short backswing and still his swinging with big long swings o.O

  • @CircusAndVincent

High modulus NCoded graphite interlapped with basalt fibers makes an hard start to find anything stiffer...

  • @GueorguiJoukov I under stand what you mean but I am used to a heaver frame that dosent flex under forces.

  • @CircusAndVincent

I was just telling you why they were not making Pete's favourite stick anymore and why the technologies have evolved.

I'm probably going to buy a 6.1 tour 90, either K factor or BLX. If it truly feels that crisp, it's going to be awesome for me: it's just so tempting to aim at the line and rip the ball! But, if you hit with a ProStaff88, you won't have any hard time adjusting to the head, thin beam and weight - you'll just benefit from it.

  • @GueorguiJoukov yeah but if the blx comes out I assure you it will, I will move into the BLX series but till then I'm still using my old stick.

  • @CircusAndVincent

And, there has been some amateurs who tried the BLX version of the 6.1 90tour and one of them had struck with those ProStaff... it remebered him of his favourite stick with an even more clear feel at contact.

Seriously, those old frames have nothing to come close to that; it's such a crisp contact that you could stop and draw where the ball touched your strings... Also, the K factor and BLX are more forgiving than people think because the material reacts as a unit.

  • @CircusAndVincent

They have a K ProStaf 88... I ensure you that once the BLX version of this frame comes out, you'll throw you old Pro Staff into the wall! Most people who played the nCode version thought of it as way lesser forgiving than than Pete's favourite stick despite having 2 more sq. in. to offer.

The K factor version employs goes further and bounds the SiO2 to the graphite: nothing has ever felt more united, more solid, more stiff.
