Wish SoapNet would run AMC episodes from 1978-84. These were the golden years. AMC now is unwatchable. Erica, Cliff, Nina, Angie, Jesse, Greg, Jenny, Phoebe, Joe, Ruth and many, many others WERE and WILL ALWAYS BE the true stars of AMC.

Yeah, and the past few years, AMC has been nothing but PLOT-DRIVEN garbage, thanks to terrible writers.

Soaps in this era were criticized as being slow moving by non-viewers, who would say "nothing happened" in a given episode to move the stories along. But what they failed to understand was that these shows were character-driven rather than plot-driven. For soap fans, the enjoyment came from the characters' interactions. Today's soaps are plot-driven and while the pacing may be faster, the stories are boring because there is little connection to the characters.

I really wish they would some how bring Cliff back to Pine Valley, I would even settle for another guy playing the part, would love to have some of the classics back to the Valley
