@yz125motoracer ahh cool thats better explination then iv heard anywhere. thanks

@tomjw7 Thats not the rev limiter, thats the ignition cut to kill power for a second. Im familiar with the cobalt ss system, and this is the exact same thing. It puts it into a "soft" limiter for a split second by cutting igntion so you can change gears while keeping boost up. Search Tephra V7 and you will see better of examples

look up Tephra No Lift To Shift (Stock ECU) watch right at the end cause the gu wont shut up lol

@yz125motoracer ecu gives u, u will loose ur boost and it will be like a normal shift, or, like sometimes happens when its done wrong u will misfire and the ecu will go into reduced power mode to protect the motor. has nothing to do with rev limiter. but like i said i dont know if thats what u were talking about.

@yz125motoracer what is exactly what nls is? im confused at what ur saying. if ur refuring to nls being bouncing off the rev limiter, no thats not what it is, i dont have to bounce off the rev limiter to nls, in the cobalt the ecu delays the spark between shifts for .3 seconds while ur doing the nls, while still putting fuel into the cylinders, so the boost stays at max, when u complete the shift, u get a nice pop and sometimes fireball out the tailpipe. if u dont do it in the .3 seconds the
-
@tomjw7 That is EXACTLY what no lift shift is. The idea is based on keeping the throttle plate open. You cant "program" boost between shifts
-
Are you stupid? NLTS isn't for looks or show. It's to keep the boost up when you shift. Also it's easier on both the engine and transmission.
-
cobalt nls is much better.
-
ur just bouncing off the rev limiter and still loosing about 10 pounds of boost doing it, not true nls. get it programmed into the ecu, u dont loose any boost and u dont have to hit rev limiter.
Whats are your setting?
