To be honest I never feel particularly strong about Snape and Lily, they contribute to the major twist in the plot, yes, but nothing more, nothing less.

After hearing this song, I changed my mind.

Darn that Rowling. One word - just one word and I'm on the brink of tears. For Snape! If I had known this back in -99 when I read the first book... No, I wouldn't have believed it, not at all.

After reading the last book I had to read the whole series again just to closely scrutinize Snape. And it was there. All the time. Always. I don't know if I want to just hug the man or give him a through snogging but darn. Always. Powerful stuff.

Snape wasn't supposed to die it was Draco and if voldy killed Draco then Snape would still be teaching but we wouldnt have some of these awesome songs
