Warning for all magicJack returning costumers that renew service Online (scam alert!)

This is a warning for all magic jack returning costumers that renew there service Online.

Magic jack scams patron customer. I just renewed my magic jack and this is what happened!
1.) I submitted my credit card info. Magic Jack then informed me with in a few minutes my phone should be ready to go. I then check my email address, this is what I found (cut and paste)
Dear (my name)...
Thank you for your order of the magicJack on 01/16/2011. Due to the overwhelming demand for the Magic Jack, we are at this time only accepting orders from those who have not previously ordered a magicJack. Please visit us again in the future and we will try to accommodate everybody.

We are pleased to announce that magicJack's are now available at Radio Shack and Best Buy. Please click the Best Buy or Radio Shack link if you would like to order your magicJack today.

I then checked my credit card statement online. This is what the scandalous company did
Magic Jack charged my card for 1 dollar! (Utilities fee) Not that big of a deal right? Wrong it's the principle! 1 dollar is still stealing! Hmm you have hundreds of thousands of patrons doing this and if magic jack is doing it to most of its old patrons it ads up to hundreds of thousands dollars of stolen money! WTF why does magic Jack decline the renewal before they accept your credit card info??? Because Magic Jack IS a fraud! It is clearly a Nickel and dime schemer scam.

The bad phone company knows no one is going to waist time to submit a letter to the credit card company and waste their time for 1 buck. Criminals!!!

any upcoming transaction debits $1 until the transaction goes through. If the transaction does not go thru, then it is put back in your account. This happened back in June. Do you have an update?

@johnnyohness did you call your DSL company about it and ask if the VOIP will work? I know like verizon has a VOIP, maybe they have it blacked or something? I mean i hate verizon all they do is pick your pocket and send you a bill for it.

@JDK1981 I have DSL is there some kind or program or tweaking one has to do or install some kind of program to make these POS work? I am very frustrated because MJ+ is supposed to work with just a common electrical receptacle. That is a pipe dream, even though they charge you xtra for the MJ+. Somebody is getting rich and millions are not getting any service. Got any ideas? would sure love to hear them.

@Chambelona59 I have Magic Jack Plus have had it about 2 months when I received it I even bought a new 100.00 AT&T cordless phone to go with it. What a pathetic investment it has been. It is totally useless. When making a call the connection is so full of static and you risk getting your call dropped at any second. How did you managed to get yours to work? I'm completely disgusted with my purchase. Customer service for MJ is practically nonexistent.

@J4vandf hmmm, i ment a format for a Fresh format of your comp, but if its a MJ+ thats not the issue at all.. what internet service you have? DSL or cable? how many MBPS? Mine is the old MJ that needs a computer. I have a Security computer that 24 hrs Records cameras on a DVR card so i just use that comp and MJ and my phone is on 24 HRs a day. Ive noticed its is a lil bit choppy at times calling SOME cellphones, but to a landline its 100% clear.

@JDK1981 I am not sure what you mean by a format. When I bought this POS it is MJ+. they advertise that you don't even have to use your PC to use it, just plug it into a electrical receptacle i.e. wall plug.

I even went out and bought a new AT&T cordless phone to accommodate it.

Once connected the communication is choppy and broken and one never knows when you are going to loose your connection.

If you have any Ideas I would sure welcome them.

What a total rip off. What a POS it is. I will never renew it ever because it doesn't work in the first place.

Someone needs to start a class action suit against them.

Don't ever buy this POS crap, it is totally worthless.
