    He's just pure genius. Check out the live version he does with orchestra. It actually rivals this one. The song is so deeply moving, its almost unimaginable that he could summon the simplicity and vulnerability to write it. Just takes your breath away.

    word up. Who cares about the "dislike button? But I guess without it on youtube there would be less of a perspective on opinion. Myself if I don't like it, I move on. This aint American idol; or is it? Maybe youtube is counting the dislikes.

    Social commentary is what Newman is all about on this song. "Tin can at my feet..think I'll kick it down the street...that's the way to treat a friend"...."Scarecrows dressed in the latest styles, help the needy, show them the way...human kindness is overflowing, and I think it's going to rain today"...the rich get richer and to salve their conscience they pretend to care about the poor while dressed in their latest styles...but hey...it's going to rain today...Wonderful lyrics.
