3 Brothers, 3 Friends, 1 Love: Chapter 4 Part 1

Riley's POV

We finally arrived home and all I wanted to do was go to sleep. Hayley however was buzzing and wanted to talk about her night. Being the good sister I am, I sat in her room with her while she babbled on about how Kevin was so sweet and funny and kind. Blah blah blah. Then she started asking what I thought about the night.

"What did you and Nick talk about? Did you enjoy the concert?"
"Yeah the concert was awesome."
"And?"
"And what?"
I was hoping she would forget about the whole Nick thing. She didn't.
"What about you and Nick. Do you like him?"
"Hayley I just met the boy and I doubt I'll ever see him again."
"But Kevin has my number. So when he phones you can speak with Nick."
"IF he phones you, which I doubt he will."
"Why wouldn't he?"
She seemed upset that I had burst her little Jonas bubble.
"Hayley, he's a rockstar. He meets girls like us everyday. Why would you be so special?"
After realising what I had said I left her room. I had basically told my sister she wasn't special enough for a boy that she was madly in love with. I walked into my room and heard her door slam. I could hear her crying and it hurt me. I couldn't believe I had said that.

Hayley's POV

I couldn't believe that she said that. My own sister. Why arn't I good enough? Am I not pretty? Am I not smart? I need answers. The tears were pouring from my eyes as I stared up at my Jonas wall. Maybe he wouldn't call. Maybe I'd never meet him again. He was on tour and when I walked away tonight that was it. It was good while it lasted, but now I had to move on.

The next day as soon as I woke up I checked my phone. No messages. I walked downstairs and sat at the kitchen table in silence. Riley soon joined and we both sat in silence. I'm sure our mom knew something was wrong between us but she didn't say anything. Instead she just walked away into the living room.

"I'm sorry." Riley said.
"Apology not accepted."
"Please. I'm really sorry. I never meant what I said but you have to see it from my point of view." she pleaded.
"What point is that exactly? Am I ugly? Am I fat? Am I stupid?"
"It's not like that. Millions of girls love Kevin Jonas just like you do. Maybe not for the same reasons but they still do. He performs for these girls every night. You stay here in California. How can you compete?" she said.


Riley's POV

Her face softened. I think she was finally understanding what I meant.

"I accept your apology." she finally said.
"I truely am sorry." I said once again.
I got out of my seat and hugged her. She seemed so upset by this sudden realisation but I wouldn't let it get her down. I suggested a sisterly shopping day. Just the two of us. We both got dressed and drove to the local mall. When we arrived I realised this was going to be harder than I thought.

Hayley's POV

When we arrived at the mall the whole place was covered in Jonas posters. Adverts for their tour. Adverts for Camp Rock. Posters of their faces everywhere! The place was swarmed with girls hoping they'd stop by, but that was highly likely. We decided to skip the shopping and head to the Starbucks round the corner. We were sat chatting quietly in the corner when some girls burst in screaming. They had Jonas t-shirts on and they were looking around frantically. When they realised they weren't here they ran outside.

"Fans." I joked with my sister.
The truth is that used to be me. It probably still is but I'm having a down day. We finished our coffee's and decided to head home. When we got in my mom had a surprise for us.
