This song is one of total 12 conservation songs composed by the local community in Halimun, West Java, Indonesia. They live in some villages of total 114 ones since many years ago before their environment has been determined as the extension of Halimun-Salak National Park (from 40,000 ha into 113,357 ha; taking over the ex-land of State Forestry Company) in June 2003.
This song is one of many various locally-developed marketing vehicles of Pride Campaign implemented by Rimbawan Muda Indonesia (RMI), Rare Conservation and Halimun-Salak National Park. Nani Saptariani, the Campaign Manager, leads her team to work closely with the local community and key stakeholders to protect and conserve Halimun Forest through forest collaborative management.
This song is unique since it involves the Sundanese traditional musical instrument played by the local musician. Enjoy the Sundanese atmosphere in disseminating conservation message through the beautiful and peaceful tone!
