There's a lot of people like me (until today) that had no idea what an amazing guitarrist Charo is!!!

I remember the first time I heard her play the guitar was in the 1980's. I thought it was going to be another gag. Once she started playing I was absolutely stunned at her skill and passion for it. She jokes around and has fun when she dances and sings but is all business at the guitar.

not only is she a great guitarist she AWAYS has been. that was the talent that promted xaveire cugat to pull her out of a convent school at 14 to join his band. she was a child prodigy, it all got side tracked by how hot she was/is, he made a show girl out of her got her on american T.V. before she could speak a word of english, that fiasco turn out to be a huge hit! the guitar went out the window. she became a weird joke. but she was always a super talented musician its just no one knew

I wish Charo had played guitar for Mocedades-- her playing would've fit better than the bluesy player they used on "Eres Tu"!
