See recent video footage inside a battery cage egg farm in Ontario. Do you think these hens have a good life? Fortunately, hens don't have to be treated this way to produce eggs.

  • It is pretty shocking that so many people show no interest in knowing where their food comes from. If we can share information like this with more people, they'll become aware. Hopefully, more people will use this knowledge to make good decisions about the products they purchase, and consumer demand will help change these practices.

  • With the help of our supporters, member societies, and other similarly-minded organizations, we're working to change these conditions for animals.

People can help by supporting organizations like WSPA, which are working to change the laws to prevent cruelty. You can also vote with your wallet. If you use animal products, only purchase those that are humanely produced, such as free-run or organic eggs and poultry. Learn more: choosecagefree.ca

  • I have free range chickens,,I would never treat them like that,,they have lots of room and when they can't lay eggs anymore, I won't send them to staughter,,,they are pets.. this make me sick and I have talked numerous of friends into NOT buying eggs from a grocery store.!!!!! I will gladly give them free eggs, if it helps to stop this

  • @gravano2 I completely agree. I am a vegan and when I so much as bring up the topic of veganism, animal rights or animal welfare to non-vegans or non-vegetarians I ALWAYS get the same irritating answer : "Ignorance is bliss". Burns me to my very core that people are willing to purchase and eat meat, eggs and dairy products, but want to know nothing about where those products come from. It's so frustrating...

  • Who will help these poor creatures , what is one to do . No one seems to give a shit about farm animals
