Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito frowned and shook his head as President Barack Obama spoke to Congress Wednesday. Obama had taken the unusual step of scolding the high court in his State of the Union address. (Jan. 27)

i don't always agree with Mr. Obama, but he is absolutely right here in the substance of his argument: He urges Congress to pass a law as he feels the Supreme Court ruling runs contrary to America's interests today. This is the power and duty of lawmakers, not the Supreme Court, to re-write the laws as they see fit. If Mr. Obama fails to change the laws, then the ruling stands, as it should.

Of course he is "on the court to stay," that is generally what happens when you have a life appointment. I don't have a problem with Alito as a jurist. However, history teaches us that the Supreme Court should at all costs avoid involvement in politics. I may not always agree with him, but Chief Justice Roberts understands this concept very well, and I respect him for that.

No, Obama should be respecting the separations of power - but dictators (or in this case, wannabe dictator) like to control everything. Alito is a great man, he's on that court to stay, and I love the fact there's nothing Obama can do about it.

He is THE WORST President in history, so this shouldn't be surprising.
