Mary Elizabeth Frye (1905-2004)

    Nachdichtung © Bertram Kottmann

  • The voice is the one and only Miriam Margolyes

  • @rutejack ,

    Dame Judi Dench.

  • @mmedefarge ,

I know it's a long time coming, but this was Dame Judi Dench.

  • It is not an unknown poet, it is Mary Frye and this is nothing close to the original poem.

  • Very nice - slightly different words to what I know of the poem.

  • Beautiful poem.

  • I am a writer of poetry too and to me, one has to be able to FEEL the poem they are reading. There are dry poems which people just prefer to gather words together. Then there are wish painters who retell a story within a poem. Well done GhostWatching.

    -Monique

  • The voice reminds me of Rachel Roberts, the actress who committed suicide (1927-1980), though I'm probably wrong.
