Raining on everything I thought I knew
Sometimes it's not as clear as what's in front of you
Because fog seeps in and swollows you
Destroys all hope in the plans you drew

There is a distance- existent- between my heart and the rest of me
I want to have faith, but my mind seems to think differently
Because fear seeps in and follows you
If you try to run- it devours you.

I'm ready to fight it
I'm a well oiled machine
Made up of all these goals and dreams
But easily torn at the seams
A confidence rising
But taken down at the knees
So much fear for the unknown
What's waiting for me
