http://LoseWeightHealthy.org There are two hormones in the body that regulate the storage of body fat. Insulin and Glucagon are both hormones that are affected indirectly by the amount of glucose in the blood. Knowing this Biology 101 is the key to understanding how important our diet is to our ability to lose fat.

  • you talk to the camera like a pedophile.

    oh and youre wrong. ya..

  • insulin doesn't just effect glucose uptake into fat cell - without it you can't get glucose into your muscles! Glucagon inhibits insulin - it stops it working. Unless you have diabetes if you blood sugar is normal, your pancreas is doing this balancing job absolutely fine! Don't interfere...

The only way to lose weight is to consume less calories that you burn. Your pancreas will release glucagon and you'll break down fat and muscle (and organs too, if you take it too far)

  • mfwarren What do you think about that HCG diet? ..... I think what you are saying make more sence to me!

  • carbs aren't the enemy, it's the type of carbs that you out in your mouth. just think shop in the perimeter of the markets instead of the middle. If you don't get carbs, your body will break down muscle (gluconogenisis) in order to produce ATP. That's why you see people with low carb diets as soft and not defined.

  • Great video man youre a natural lol :)

  • I learned something new today, thank you very much! And thanks for the other comments!

  • The problem with an extreme low carbohydrate diet is that your body will resort to obtaining energy from other sources, for example protein. A high protein diet is also referred to as a ketogenic diet. If your body is breaking down protein as energy, urea production increases, increasing urination and dehydration. The body produces ketones, including acids and acetone which can be smelled on the breath. The blood also becomes more acidic (ketoacidosis), which could disrupt hemoglobin function.

  • Okay but I just watched a video that says that even if u replace carbs with protein, ur insulin levels still shoot up and last for a few hours. This is why I don'tbother learning about these diets. Everyone is right and everyone is wrong and u can't tell what is bullshit

  • I think mineral interactions play some important role. The dough seems to cause mineral loss. The french eat that bread every day but always drink mineral water.

  • perfect. so the way to lose fat is not to be totally hungry or exercising like a madman...

but just eat a lot of protein, moderate fat, fibres and avoid sugar/carbs...

    SO EASY

    thanks dude!
