English is already an official language
-
Make English and Spanish as the official language.Tagalog is ethnocentric.
-
@Spearman36 I agree. The fact that Filipino culture has been enriched by outsiders does not make Filipinos any less Filipino. I've been following the comments made here, and ThtOnePinoy sounds like an ignorant Fascist, lashing out at others who are not as "indigenous" as he is.

I wish spanish was our co-official language instead of english

@sirach Like I said, and I think you already know this well enough :P, I am 100% against that, not just because I prefer using a native language, but because Chavacano will receieve the same, if not more, backlash as much as the Tagalogs are getting now, and will also get accused of trying to take over our culture. Disaster is all your going to get from it... I think restoring our sulats, not just baybayin, but the other regional sulats, is worth more to make official in my honest opinion.
-
@sirach It definitely makes you sound like a lower person, perhaps I made a good job of convincing you otherwise, but I actually dislike it in general as much as you do ;) however, when I have had to repeat what I said, 5x at least, and then I get accused by being obsessed just because I had to repeat myself for you to comprehend correctly, that alone gets annoying much more than swearing, and that wasn't even most of what that arguement had that was idiotic.
-
@sirach And I know what creoles are, again, for the third time I believe, this is what I am seeing, this is not my 100% belief yet, although obviously I should've been specific about that.
-
@sirach Perhaps you don't know just how far our arguements have came from, but then this is why you don't jump into another conversation, telling someone whatever. Trust me, you would get annoyed as well, if someone denies almost everything you and someone else says even though both of you have sufficient evidence, and also misinterprets you to the point where it just looks like they are trying to twist your words. Sure, I could've been the bigger person, but this time I didn't care.
-
@sirach And manners is almost nonexistant in very public places such as youtube, and hmm, we both equally exchanged names towards each other, yet you will just reply to me. Do you know how "credible" you sound right now? The names do not come into the conversation until you make an ignorant statement or a watered down insult, do you think I truly insulted him just for having a different opinion? No, I still know how ignorant he is from the last conversation we had.

@ronelle106 Hmm, dialects you say? So what is the "dialect" of tagalog from? Sorry, these are not mere dialects, they are different languages disctinct from one another while having some things in common. "Filipino" is just tagalog with a new paint cover/name. And holy shit do you not understand what I say? THESE ARE WHAT I HEAR WHAT OTHERS SAY ABOUT CHAVACANO, NOT MY OWN. Good grief, although me personally, I prefer our native languages(all of them), why would Chavacano be bad?
