Alexander Arguelles presents a series of videos to provide introductory overviews of the languages of the world. Working diachronically through various language families in turn, he demonstrates how to identify each language, translates a text sample to show how it works, and discusses its genetic affiliation and cultural context. • You pronounced the "d" wrong in most words and you also pronounced the "u" wrong. You also have a very obvious accent. But it's well done for someone who doesn't normally speak danish.

  • the reason norwegian and danish is so alike is cause denmark ''ruled'' norway(or it was co-operating into one big country) at the time before 1907 :D

  • @MysMultilanguagesFav How funny.. Im a danish girl who wants to learn swedish! I live in sweden right now to learn it :-) I had the same problems the pronunciation and the words that look the same !

  • @LifeOfMal LOL, nå - jeg er Britisk, men PRØVE at lære Dansk. (men jeg bor ikke i Danmark) Du har det ret at han lyder ikk' så korekt, MEN - husk, han bare kigge på mange sprogerne. Dog, "As if part of my mouth is almost slightly numb or paralyzed" er ikke en dejlig ting at sige om Dansk...

  • This sounds SOOOO weird! We Danes do not speak like that. AT ALL! ;)

I think is funny how English people sounds like when they try to speak danish! Most of us Danes (mostly the young ones) have NO problems writing and speaking English. Some times people think I'm actually from England when I speak English, and I'm only 13!

  • when he is reading, it sounds like he is in pain :S

  • @Olhor10

Yes Danes speak danish. As for Norwegian & Danish they do resemble each other... Norwegian is more sing-song where as Danish is more growl when being spoken.

  • You can't speak it like that, you need to be drunk and talk with your mouth full.

  • @forkv That's cous it's hard for english people to pronouns the sounds. He does a good job, though. It was undestandeble, but if you try and listen to a real danish talk, it sounds much less like his/her throat hurts;) It's kindda funny, cous we dansih does this thing with the englsih, like a though twister: say; Rød grød med fløde:P Try it. I bet you can't!

  • @NicklasVB Det lagde jeg os mærke til:P
