To clarify: it was a live two pound Blue Runner (hard tail) on a home made 3 foot 7-strand main wire leader (Japanese suicide hook in the nose) with an attached 12" trebel trailer (bottom belly close to tail). Hands down the best bait rig you can make in the Gulf in my opinion.

wow thats a pretty big king i caught around a 32 pound knig i dont know which ones bigger but i almost fell in the water that thing was so hard to do i wish i filmed mine

sounds like fun...for some reason my uncle and dad are obsessed with king mackeral and not with mahi or tuna or billfish....would be nice to catch something over 30 pounds every now and then
