Part 1! The start of it all...

Green Hill Zone 1 - Most of Marble Zone 2

Here's the codes I was talking about:

Different versions of Sonic 1
In Sonic Mega Collection, the version of Sonic 1 you play is the Japanese version.

You can play the US version by pressing, on the info screen for Sonic 1, Up, Z, Down, Z, Left, Z, Right, Z. The American version differs in that the clouds don't move in Green Hill, there's no wavy water in Labyrinth, and the level select is in the wrong order.

To play another Japanese version, which fixes the bug which makes you continue to take hits when you hit spikes even if you're flashing and supposed to be temporarily invincible, hit, on the same screen, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Z, Up, Down, Left, Right.

(To SonicAD: If you want, I can take this off here it's no biggie, I just wanted to back up my words that there IS different versions of this game in Sonic Mega Collection, lol!)

Not much to say here other then the codes, this part was smooth sailing! It should be, it's the first 2 levels! lol! XD

This is a "No Emerald" walkthrough, meaning that I did not collect the chaos emeralds.

@Retrogamer712 Yeah, it's a rare and sought after game. I'd buy one used, but even that is like $130. That's a lot just to try the game not knowing I'd like it considering it originally sold for $50, ha ha!

In the Japanese version of the game, Notice that in Green Hill Zone that the clouds scroll. It's also not in the american version.
