  • Sister welcome to Islam. Followers of Islam called Muslim not Muslimah. There is no such word in Quran or Hadith. I am observing this in reverted Muslims. Actually, in Arabic grammar a prefix is added with verb to make it noun. For example, in Arabic SAFOR means travel. The person do SAFOR is called MOO-SAFOR or Moo-Saafeer. In English ER is added at the end. So the followers of Islam is called MOO- ISLAM or MOOSLIM or Muslim. In Islam everything is specified not like Christianity.

  • @mdkhanshah Assalamu alaikum. I'm aware that the term Muslimah is not a proper term - I used it out of playfulness, hence the brackets around the a and h (ah).... but I appreciate the lesson. Jazakallahu khair.

  • Born Euro-Muslim, it was difficult for me to become a "better" Muslim as I was labeled a "fanatic" by my fellow (so-called) muslim-by-name friends (who drink, and such).

Thank you for your honesty and your strength.

  • @kdog60645 I had similar difficulties here myself.

May Allah(swt) give us strength and friends who will support our Islam in this world. Ameen.

  • @matthewparr I've been a Muslim for nearly 10 years... I've lost count of how many times I've read the Qu'ran. So, I win the challenge. What's my prize?

  • Sister, i am a convert like you & want to say thank you for this video. As I was watching it, it reminded me that we are not alone in our search for rightfulness. I was also at the receiving end of all those "reasons" for converting mainly the one about "converting for the love of my husband". I am married & Mashaallah my husband NEVER "forced" me to change. He was here to support me in making my own mind. I am educated enough to choose my path through life & AlHamduLillah, never been happier!!

  • Good work sister.

being a muslim is your connection with Allah and there always be some people who will comment positivly or negativily. but does that matter?

You are indeed lucky and the chosen one.

  • Subhan'Allah you found the Path to Allah(SWT)! I too, am a revert woman & have found some of the same attitudes. Just know you're not alone...

  • @Tuphut And all you proved with your short, pointless reply was "I'm just a troll, who didn't actually want to engage in any discussion.. and I don't like replying to people who challenge me."

Fun! Take care of yourself :)
