Thanks for the upload, I'm a big fan of Sam's work for rationality.

@nemirn I totally agree with you. I love Sam's voice, but I would say that his voice is too calm and cool to be compatible with the audio version of the End of Faith. I find the voice of Emerson to be well suited for the End of Faith to give justice to the intensity of the material in the book. I wonder at first what Sam's voice would sound like in an audiobook, but I was not pleased with how he narrated the Moral Landscape. I wish Emerson narrated the Moral Landscape as well.

@nemirn I agree, Harris narrates too fast. In the The Moral Landscape audio book I had to rewind a lot, specially when he discussed philosophy and other technical subjects.

Sam Harris does have a nice voice but he is not a professional narrator and cannot sustain clarity and volume like this guy (Emerson).
Hitchens has an even nicer voice, but his self-narrated "God is not Great" is extremely difficult to listen to.
Audiobooks need to be loud and clear for listening in the car, on the bike, etc. We shouldn't have to stop what we are doing in order to better pay attention to weak or quiet sentence.
I wish Emerson were narrating the "Moral Landscape".

yahoo! thanks for uploading
Thanks FreeInquisition. It is a shame that Sam Harris didn't narrate this himself. I really enjoy his voice, and don't think that Brian Emerson's tone matches the material well. It is almost as if he is over modulating his voice in an ill fated attempt to make it sound like an adventure novel. The material is interesting enough as it is.

Yeah Harris actually has a really nice sounding voice (for a new Yorker :P) and this guy sounds like he's giving a speech rather than a documentary type piece (c.f. God Is Not Great).

@FreeInquisition
Which book do you think would be better for my christian mother. End of Faith or Letter to a Christian nation. I want the book that makes the best case for the errors in all religions and the philosphical implications of these beliefs. Ive read half of each of these so I wanted your opinion. Thanks dude

Based on what you've said I'd say The End of Faith. Letter to a Christian Nation was written as a follow up to TEOF, and is, obviously, only really relevant to Christianity, so if you want something broadly about religion then go for TEOF. But if she's a typical US Christian and you want to give her down-to-Earth and straight forward arguments and don't want her to get bogged down in the details then maybe try LTACN because it's straight-forward and to the point. Up to you bro.
