  • even on the over-produced songs, elvis & the Attractions manage through lyricism and musicianship to capture the attention...i know plenty of people who "can't stand him", but the right song in the right place can persuade even the most ferocious hater. the king is dead! long live the king!

  • Very, very funky for a pasty white guy.

  • @SuperAntisocialite

except it's not "long look" it's "longing look"

  • What a great version! I've had this on audio since it was first aired 28 years ago (I used to tape off the TV with my cassette recorder). Switch was a pale imitation of The Tube for when that great show was in off-season, but they had some fab guests like EC here.

  • @garymonker Plenty of people who don't like Costello? I hope they can jam as well as he can.

  • AB-FAB- an he's a plastic Scouser too

  • This song encapsules what I love about Elvis, when everybody was trying to write this book, he was working on the sequel

  • People who don't know the difference between "every day" and "everyday" shouldn't be allowed to use computers.

  • what? did they not have a single pair of glasses in your own size Elvis or did you rob Tweetie Pie? One of my all time favorite songs which confirms my theory (in my delusional mind) that WEIRDOS write the best songs...do you give workshops on finding your weirdo within? Cause you should man...you're the prototype.... do you still have those glasses? No....bet you sat on them in 1988 or Elton stole them....I know there's a story, a novel in there about those glasses alone...so...start writing...

  • Brilliant artist, awesome song, wonderful decade. I miss the 80's.

  • Hah, had this stuck in my head all damn day from the Wedding Singer, although at first I just could NOT remember where it was from; I was going crazy.
