  • I would prefer that you add a little more text to explain what you are doing and what your findings are. What I see is a bunch of colors that kind of tell me who is playing and what the basic pitch-related material is comprised of. But the question you must now answer is: why should we care? What makes this analysis important? What conclusions can we draw from it? Could we not just look at the score and get the same information? I am glad you present these things, but expand a little please.

  • @DerangedRanger1 Thanks for your comment! Put in a (very) short way: this video is a kind of alternative reproduction of the score (which omits some details, as chatoPelayo observed). It aims to ilustrate how Debussy builds musical energy mainly through sonic changes (permuting/combining orchestal fixed groups), while pitches (and resulting melody and harmony) remain static. Important is not my analysis, but the revolutionnary way Debussy is composing music at that time. :)

  • @DerangedRanger1 I think this is only about orchestration, and each colour is related to only one group of instruments. The graphic in the bottom is the total volume of that part.

  • exactly before the last part there is a little of bass part too .... you didnt put that
