Several thousand spectators gathered at Lake Marble Falls early Sunday morning to watch the implosion of the old U.S. 281 bridge. The Texas Department of Transportation demolished the 1930s-era bridge to make way for the second of two new bridges to more safely accommodate traffic. The first of the bridges has been completed. TXDOT now will remove all pieces from the bridge from the lake, which could take several days. Watch a video of the 77-year-old bridge going out with a bang. http://www.lcra.org
