The Omaha Police Department is asking for assistance from the public in the identification of a suspect involved in a felony theft case.

On Wednesday, August 26, 2009 police were called to 7910 L Street in Omaha to investigate a theft. Officers were told that at approximately 5:45 p.m. on August 25, 2009 the suspect took a welder from inside the Tractor Supply Company. Later that evening around 7:45 p.m., the same suspect returned driving an older van with no plates. After entering the employee only area, he backed his van up to one loading dock and parked. He then went over to the second loading dock and placed an automatic gate opener in the door. The suspect then rolled a go kart into his van from the dock area, loaded the automatic gate opener and drove away.

The manager saw the suspect as he was closing the loading dock to leave.

The suspect is an older white male. He can be seen wearing a red t-shirt, jean shorts, black sneakers, and a black baseball hat with a white logo. The suspect changed shirts in between both crimes.
