My method of completing the eighth level of Overture. Also a chance to see the Superior Interactive PC version's remake of the Prelude graphics; as you may remember, in my videos of the Prelude scenario I did not use these but rather a graphics set I compiled myself, largely taken from the original BBC version graphics. I confess I don't like these graphics much, particularly the skull (of which there are a lot on this level!) and the diamond; but they are given here so you can judge for yourself.
As to the level itself, note that after releasing the spirit at top centre and taking the diamond from its enclosure, I push the rock left rather than right. This is vital as it delays the last spirit long enough for me to take the diamonds below the central skull cluster that would otherwise be trapped when I release the rocks near the last egg. The monster near the key is often happy to mess up my timing on this level, one reason why it was a real pain to record. And getting through the spirits in the top-left without dazing any requires incredibly accurate timing.
The music for this video is the William Tell Overture by Gioachino Rossini.
Excellent work. And of course it answers the question of how I do that small bit that was a right stumper
