I started strength training a month before this video was taken. When I started, I was able to deadlift 245 before my grip gave out.

I know my form breaks and I lift partially with my rounded back which I'm sure sends me straight to hell. Passing out had nothing to do with form and everything to do with getting stoked to a previously unimaginable level. You should get over yourself and try it sometime.

  • i think the camera man was the only guy to laugh when he saw it

  • he jucied

  • @jvoris He's gotta be trollin'

  • Hardcore...the face plant I mean.

  • holding your breath is called the valsalva manuver it helps you get past your sticking point but creates a pressure imbalance inside due to your diaphram expanding and thats where the hernia comes in and it clearley sneaks up on you and makes you pass out.. dude! and the guy clearley held his breath threwout the whole rep

  • @jsw45s83 "thats a good way to get a hurnia to holding your breath to!!" Seriously??

Dude you get hernias when your back rounds. Holding your breath helps engage the core and stops that. If you feel light headed it means you should just let a bit of air out. Not all of it

  • lol thats why you don't hold your breath during a lift!! you exhale during the concentric ( upward power phase and you inhale during your eccentric phase (lowering phase) thats a good way to get a hurnia to holding your breath to!!

  • neva seen that before .... a dumbell nut.... must be a new routine
