  • Here are more verses (not in order):

    Sir Charles came from a sanatorium

    And yelled for drinks in my emporium

    I mixed one drink -- he's in memoriam

    To keep my love alive.

    Sir Athelstane indulged in fratricide;

    He killed his dad and that was patricide.

    One night I stabbed him at my mattress side

    To keep my love alive, to keep my love alive.

    MORE TO COME!

  • Sir Frank brought ladies to my palaces.

    I poured a mickey in their chalices.

    While paralyzed they got paralysis

    To keep my love alive.

    Sir Alfred worshipped falconry;

    He used to hunt at will.

    I sent him on a hunting trip.

    They're hunting for him still.

  • No, from the horse's mouth, I was saying "You're next!" Thanks for listening! E

  • @insanecaine Absolutely! Which I think is the most important technical aspect of this song.

  • "You're next!"

  • What exceptional diction. I could hear almost every single word.

  • You have such a gorgeous voice and loved watching you in all your videos. You have such a wonderful sense of humor. arline

  • So fantastic. I really enjoyed this. :)

  • Absolutely delightful !

  • Larry Hart could sure write them. Pity about his sad short life though. Nice version.

  • I'm VERY flattered! Thank YOU! - Ron

  • Ron, I had no idea you were involved in putting this together. You did a GREAT job in doing so! Ms, Kingsley's version of this song is just perfect. The first time I heard the song was in a Special Program in which Elaine Stritch sang it. I thought that was great but this tops it!

    By the way, I'd suggest that people look up your own performance of "Those Were The Good Old Days" from Damn Yankees. That, too is a classic!

    Thank you so much!

  • OMG!

    She just took back into the decades with that voice.

    I love it!
