Yes, it was cut from the theatrical version. This scene is available in the extended edition though.

When I saw Haldir I was like SEVERUS IN LUCIUS BODY!!! It was almost (not exactly) like the scene in Harry Potter and the Socerer's Stone when Severus said "Mr. Potter, our new celebrity". Only it's "the dwarf breathes so loud" I dunno the rest, can anyone tell me the rest of what Haldir said?

One of the best scenes of LOTR, the other one is the one at Helms Deep.

Why? Because it shows Haldir; the ultimate Elf.

Gimli is in the most deleted scenes, this is why we dont get to know his character as much compared to the others
