  • @SUPAVEGETAMAN That sounds like a great idea. Smith machine is also perfect for rear delt rows since the bar archs when you pull to the hip using lats.

  • @dm325 Exactly, because your body was never meant to be in a fixed position.

  • i see what you mean, but the smith machine is just a horrible machine all around. the squatting on it is bogus, the benching on it cannot possibly be performed in a healthy manner, i've seen assholes trying to deadlift on it, it's not even good for shrugs really - it SEEMS like a safe machine, but it's actually a harmful machine all around.

  • Dave, Because your elbows end up behind your body during the curl, doesnt this target the Long Head(peak) of the biceps? Never tried it but it looks tight.

  • yeah but this works muscles fibers that you don't work as much when you're on a smith machine. It's controlled for you and it keeps you in balance when this doesn't

  • i find the best way to perform a drag curl is using a smith machine
