ZERO/SPORTS has set up Electric Vehicle R&D Department in 1998 with a vision for the future of automotive industry. In December of 2000, ZERO/SPORTS electric formula car achieved the second fastest record of 276.6km/h (the national record in Japan), only after GM's record of 293km/h.

In September 2003, ZERO/SPORTS released Elexceed RS, one-seater electric vehicle, and became the 17th largest auto maker in Japan, recognized by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. In 2004, ZERO/SPORTS donated Series type hybrid vehicle for Aichi Expo. In June 2005, Elexceed RS with high performance Lithium ion was released, as ZERO/SPORTS continues to seek for creative customizing solutions while coexisting with the nature.
EDO Performance is the sole distributor for ZERO/SPORTS in North America.

    Yes, but for the time being we depend in using wired power transfer as his gives least transmission loss.

    Inductive power transfer have maybe 10% loss or more.

    I see a future there the main roads (freeways, motorways) have some sort of power transfer to the vehicles tthat is adequate for both propulsion and charaging batteries, while for driving off the (powered) main roads the vehicles use their internal batteries.
