I shot this video during the winter of 1991-92 at Lolita's, a 24 hour market at 8th and Pearl in Boulder, Colorado. The night shift manager, Patrice, asked her patrons what they thought the world would be like in 25 years. These are not usual talking heads, they are late night Boulder characters. Inconvenient and convenient truths, 15 years later. As one character says, "It's almost karmatic...in it's essence." 8 minutes.

  • Holy shit was that Mike Smith in the beggining? The manager of the trident?

  • I didn't get names when filming and since I don't know Mike, I can't say. But...most likely it is...since it was shot 1 block away after Trident closing hours.

  • Cool. I lived a block away on Walnut and used to hang out around 12 or 1a.m. and talk with Patrice and others when I had to take a break from the computer. I'm glad you enjoyed this.
