@Darusdei , there are over 50 million muslims in Europe.It is becoming "Eurabia", a term coined. Bosnia is 50% muslim. Finland is less than 1%.

Obama is absolutely right. You have to understand a foreign language to understand a foreign culture to come along with people. There is no way around it. Some people who never learn a foreign language tend to be ego-centristic in their views. It's better to hear how other people feel and think too. That's why multiple languages are needed in a globalised world.

Barrack has a valid point! In Europe they make it a point to teach their children multiple languages! How is that a bad thing? It certainly assists them in navigating the different cultures they encounter and considering this is the "melting pot" of the world being bilingual seems like it would be a help, not a hinderance to our children.
