Probably the Wetterhorn. Two things - Ranulph Fiennes is climbimg the Eiger in March, also 'Eiger live' in June will be interesting, just in case you didn't know. Best wishes - Nose.

cheers parsnipnose, nope it was facing the east face of the eiger, the avalanche was actually coming off the eiger itself.. i forget the name, possibly schilthorn or wetterhorn.. AMAZING place...
