A couple riding mowers..... and yes... a cold start!

I was thinking about putting up another video later tonight.... I may scratch that since I'm putting this video up.... Maybe I'll put that other video up tomorrow afternoon or night... Who knows.

You need to adjust the valves. They tend to get loose on motors, and adjusting the valves is part of yearly maintenance. donyboy73 has a "how to" video on this in 2 parts.

@NicksGarageDoor These have been gone awhile, but yeah, we did adjust the valves on them. Ended up working out quite nice!

Yea that is extremely common for those engines.

the valves tend to always go out of adjustment.

i think the problem is that the compression release is not working, or the valves are not adjusted right or even both, hope this helps.

Yeah, it turns out I just needed to adjust the valves. They both run super great now!!! Thanks man!! I appreciate it!

i have a snapper that has a 12hp briggs and now that i think about it i think mine does that when it starts

i rode a 4 wheeler that would hesitate. I think that its becuase the motors are cold. Or they are just well used:)

I just adjusted the valves and everything works great now!!! It was just weird that both were doing the same thing!!
